A solo-artist, creative director & performer, she specializes in creating at the crossroads where ritual BDSM, body horror, fetishism, futurism and metaphysics meet. Her creations point to the visceral, the ethereal and the supernatural. she is a commanding presence both behind and in front of the lens.
From her Destruction Ritual Series exploring energetic transformation, to ritual projects such as the Lunar Zodiac, the versatility in her modalities and mediums allow her creations to transcend traditional constructs and limitations. Her creative inspiration draws from mystical archetypes and symbolism intertwining with Materials and objects chosen for their elemental and metaphysical properties. eggs, ink, chrome, latex, leather and rope are a symbolic language she uses to transcend the superficialities of the logical. manipulated and transformed through ritual from objects into sacred/taboo ceremonial tools, Her experiments with these materials exist on a otherworldly, surrealist plane, where sci-fi fetishism and retro-futurism bleed into the language of the ancient and esoteric.
BACKGROUND
her solo work draws on a physicality from early adolescent experiences with body modification through injury and ongoing medical procedures throughout her life. A classically trained dancer, the injury and subsequent operations would begin to alter her mobility and physical form permanently, thus beginning her karmic entanglement with body horror, ecstatic states, pain and transmutation. Her investigations into gender studies and the history of the modification of the female form began an intense interest in femme-dominant themes and fetishization scenarios. She began incorporating her experiences in BDSM dynamics into an ongoing symbiosis with her creative practices beginning in 2010.
She has consulted on film, television and media projects to insure the nuanced practices of BDSM and fetish play are depicted in an authentic, safe and true-to-life way. She has performed as herself and portrayed the dominatrix archetype for various media presentations including Refinery 29, Vice, music videos for the band Patriarchy, the television series last looks (2020) and in the experimental, avant-garde horror film, TriTonia (2018).
She studied at The Byam Shaw School of Art, The Slade School of Art at University College London, chelsea college of art and design and holds a BA (Hons) Degree from University of The Arts, London.
CURRENTLY
She is the mind and creative director behind LUNAR SX CVLT, a shapeshifting creative entity which produces immersive ritual experiences, art gatherings and psychosexual surrealist films.
