SCORPIOAN ODE TO OVUM, 2020

SCORPIO was first presented as a ritual offering on the full moon of May 7th, 2020. At a time when scarcity and fear had seemed to envelope human consciousness, SCORPIO refocuses on invoking our ability to see the mystical in the mundane. We see the egg, an everyday object, and watch it imbued with an erotic power through ritual...transforming it into a talisman of metaphysical properties.
The egg is a literal and metaphoric vessel, much like the human body, which can be transmuted and ritualized into the realm of the sacred. The egg embodies this liminal balance between birth and death, a temporal space between worlds. It is in that space SCORPIO directs us to honor and revere that same potential which exists in and around us all.
